Team Faculty Conduct Research and Exchange at the School of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology

On September 12, 2024, a delegation from the team, including Vice Dean Guan Dawei, the leader of the Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering degree program Xue Mian, Department Head Tang Dong, and Discipline Secretary Song Liqin, visited the School of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology for research, exchange, and recruitment promotion. The meeting was attended by Zhang Jian, Dean of the School of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering, along with Vice Dean Zhou Xiaoguo, Vice Dean Cheng Yong, and Department Head Zhao Dong.

Before the meeting, the team toured the Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering Cultural Museum, the Structural Dynamics Laboratory, and the Ocean Engineering Laboratory, led by Vice Dean Zhou Xiaoguo.

During the meeting, Dean Zhang Jian warmly welcomed the visiting team. Vice Dean Guan Dawei provided an overview of the college, covering aspects such as discipline construction, faculty development, talent cultivation, and scientific research. Professor Xue Mian introduced the discipline construction status of the Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering program. Vice Dean Guan expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology and mentioned the team’s interest in learning from Jiangsu University regarding discipline construction in Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering, hoping to share experiences and practices. Subsequently, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the construction of the Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering discipline.

To attract more outstanding students, the team held a presentation at the School of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering. Department Head Tang Dong provided detailed information about the college and the advantages and features of the Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering program, engaging in thorough discussions with the attending students.
