From August 9 to 11, 2024, the 11th International Conference on Coastal and Ocean Engineering was held in Yantai, China.

A delegation of five from the team, including Professor Zhang Jisheng, Professor Zhang Chi, Young Professor Sui Tetu, Master’s student Zhu Hang, and Master’s student Jin Minghui, attended the conference. During the conference, Professor Zhang Chi served as a session chair. Professor Zhang Jisheng delivered an invited talk titled “Modeling of Interactions Between Wave-Current and Floating Tidal Stream Turbine,” while Young Professor Sui Tetu presented on “Span Shoulder of Migration in Three Dimensional Scour Around Pipelines with Wave Plus Current Conditions.” Master’s student Zhu Hang spoke on “Wave-Induced Response of Shell-Sand Mixed Seabed Around Slope Breakwater,” and Master’s student Jin Minghui presented “Physical Modeling of a Water Intake Tunnel of Sanmen Nuclear Power Station.” These presentations received enthusiastic responses.

The International Conference on Coastal and Ocean Engineering has been successfully held 11 times to date. This year’s conference focused on new theories, technologies, and their engineering applications in coastal and ocean engineering, providing a broad platform for experts and scholars in the field to exchange the latest research findings and discuss academic development directions.
