From December 15th to 17th, 2023, Professor Zheng Jinhai, Professor Guan Dawei, Professor Xue Mian, and Professor He Rui were invited to attend the 8th China Offshore Wind Power Engineering Technology Conference in Fuzhou. Themed with “Gathering and Gaining”, the conference consisted of one main forum, six parallel sub-forums, professional exhibitions, Banyan City Night, cooperation negotiations and other special activities, mainly focusing on the development of the offshore wind power industry, the development of large-capacity turbines, offshore wind farms, surveying and design, installation, operation and maintenance, industrial integration and other topics. The conference brought together over 800 representatives from government representatives, association representatives, academicians, developers, machine manufacturers, research institutes, industry chain units and other senior representatives to join the event.
During the conference, Professor Zheng Jinhai delivered a presentation entitled “Research on Protection Technology against Foundation Erosion of Offshore Wind Turbines”. He elaborated on his team’s latest research results and technological innovations in the field of turbine erosion protection, covering technical challenges faced by offshore wind turbine foundation erosion protection, development of erosion core material test equipment, erosion mechanisms under complex dynamic load environments, erosion-resistant protection technology and applications, and future research frontiers and prospects. The valuable insights provided by his presentation offer practical approaches for reducing costs, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the sustainable development of the offshore wind power industry. Colleagues at the conference engaged in lively discussions and deep academic exchanges.
The conference was jointly organized by Offshore Wind Power Branch of China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association, National Wind Power Engineering & Technology Research Center, and Fujian Electric Power Survey and Design Institute of China Electricity Construction Group. By the end of this conference, China Offshore Engineering Consulting Association Offshore Wind Power Branch has successfully organized 8 sessions of China Offshore Wind Power Engineering and Technology Conference. As an important platform for delivering authoritative voices and sharing cutting-edge technologies and applications, the conference has become a high-end platform for influencing the offshore wind power industry, and is highly regarded and recognized by industry insiders.
